Pastor's Welcome

Hello, and welcome to the Grand Rapids Evangelical Free Church. It is my hope that you will find the information contained within the different pages on our website helpful as you seek to grow in faith.

"Together", we are intentional about "Proclaiming God’s Grace, Living in God’s love, and Growing in God’s Word."

Perhaps the key word in that last sentence is the word, "Together". That is a key concept promoted throughout Scripture. We are united by our love for Jesus Christ, our love for God’s Word, and our love for those who do not yet know Him. Together, we seek to model His love and His character. We are passionate about seeing people brought into fellowship with Jesus and with the church, growing in their knowledge of and love for God and His Word, and discovering and using their unique gifts and talents in service for Christ.

As you look through the various pages on our website we hope that you get an even better picture of what "Together" means to us. Of course, pictures and descriptions can’t give the whole story. Ministry is really all about people and building relationships. We do think of ourselves as a church "family". I hope that you can sense this as you journey through. Many have shared with us the warm welcome and the love that they have experienced as they have visited with us in person and gotten to know us.
